Breeding Farm and Cake: Setup Guide
The setup
Build a Breeding Farm in your base and assign one male and one female Pal to it. Put Cake in the farm chest. Without Cake, no egg appears — this is the single most common reason a farm looks broken when it is actually just unfed.
The breeding loop
Once the pair is assigned and Cake is stocked, an egg appears in the farm. Collect it, place it in an Egg Incubator, and wait for it to hatch. The parents are not consumed: they stay in the farm and can breed again, so one good pair can produce many eggs over time.
Planning tips
Keep Cake stocked before you start a long breeding project, and breed near your base so eggs are easy to collect. If you are breeding for one target, work backwards — breed the parents first, then the target — rather than putting random pairs in the farm and hoping. The Path Finder shows you that backwards chain in advance.
If no egg appears
Check three things in order: is there Cake in the chest, are both assigned Pals actually in the farm (one male, one female), and is the farm inside a base with room to work? If all three are true, give it time — eggs do not appear instantly.
